路肩石、路缘石常常设置在高等级公路和市政道路上，其为设置在路面边缘、具有保护路面结构边部稳定的带状构造物。以往工程多以预制混凝土条石施工为主。但是由于人工消耗大，施工速度慢。
Shoulder stones and curb stones are often set on high-grade highways and municipal roads. They are banded structures which are set on the edge of pavement and protect the stability of the edge of pavement structure. Prefabricated concrete strip stone construction was the main construction method in the past. However, the construction speed is slow because of the large labor consumption.
目前高速公路和普通公路边的路沿石路缘石路肩，都逐渐采用混凝土现浇成型，如下图中的路缘石滑模机得到了大范围的应用。
At present, the stone shoulders along the highway and the common highway are gradually formed by cast-in-place concrete. The sliding formwork machine of the curb in the following figure has been widely used.
